The Mesa County Foster Pet Challenge is in full swing! This initiative, a partnership between Mesa County and Roice-Hurst Humane Society, calls upon our community to embrace compassion by fostering pets in need. Temporary foster homes provide vital care and comfort to animals as they eagerly await their forever homes and open up space in shelters for new animals. The campaign has set an ambitious target of 100 new foster families within 100 days, from June 20 to Sept. 28, 2023. Let's make a difference together!

Mesa County is proud to honor the individuals who have successfully completed the 2023 Inside Mesa County class, gaining invaluable insights into the inner workings and responsibilities of our local government. This comprehensive 8-week course has equipped participants with a deeper understanding of Mesa County's governance and provided them with an opportunity to engage with county departments and elected officials.

During last week's administrative public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Coffman Road Project.

The project, estimated at $586,698 for the design, aims to enhance the Coffman Road Corridor from the Mesa County Landfill entrance south to State Hwy. 141.
